One of the best features of renting dvd’s from Netflix is the customer comment section. Here, as you browse the selections and add movies to your rental queue, you can read what other insightful people have written about the particular title. Reading comments like the following example is always an elightening experience and gives me hope for the future of our country:
When I went to see House of 1000 Corpses I was one of those guys that has been waiting from the beginning when the script was going to be a sequel to the crow called Black Rider X. Now in my opinion I like Rob (Zombie) Cummings, not as much a musician but as an artist. The reason I liked his music is because he sang mostly about movies I liked and it was just cool to hear a song dedicated to “I am Legend”. So yes I freaking loved ‘House’ I was there first day and the last to leave the theatre with the hope of some last thrill after the credits. I did not want it to end at all. It is one of the greatest tributes to horror I have ever seen. The fact other peoples personal opinions don’t feel the way I do is fine, that’s opinions… they exist. But the simple fact is that this film is a piece of art, you either like it or you don’t. I loved the characters, Bill Moseley ran the show with is redneck brovado, and iron fist artistry. He was my favorite so I concentrated on him more and revelled in the violent unforgiving (not as gory as hoping but ok) brutality of these characters. Sid Haig of course is the man, was the man, and will always be the man. Either way there is a difference between reviewers and critics; reviewers tells you if there was something there and what it was, a critic is a failure looking for the failure. Neither here nor there, House of 1000 corpses rocks my big fat A$$!
