Dearly beloved, I made it through another semester, and promptly blew a mental fuse. I am, however, getting out of this godforsaken city for a few days and will be posting again, perhaps from the motel room in windswept Anderson, Indiana, where my family is converging to harrass my last remaining grandparent, Marguerite, who ain’t doing so well. Then on to San Francisco for a few days, I can’t frickin’ wait. In the meantime my stepsister forwarded this to me:

A tragic flood this morning destroyed the personal library of President George W. Bush. The flood began in the presidential bathroom where the books were kept. Both books have been lost. A presidential spokesman said the president was devastated, as he had almost finished coloring the second one. The White House tried to call FEMA but there was no answer.
